Transparency matters to us. Here we explain how this website is funded and how you can recognise advertising.

Affiliate links

Some links in our travel blog and guides are affiliate links, for example to car hire, excursion or booking platforms. If you book or buy through such a link, we receive a commission from the provider. The price stays the same for you.

We mark affiliate links with the label “Ad” – either directly next to the link or in a box labelled “Ad”. Technically, these links are marked with rel="sponsored".

Referral codes

For some apps we share our personal referral code, for example for the car-sharing service RideNow (code CFR1X2). If you sign up with this code, both you and we receive credit from the provider. These tips are also marked “Ad”. We only recommend services we use ourselves.

Travelpayouts partner network

Some of our partner links, for example for airport transfers and car rentals, are provided through the Travelpayouts partner network. To attribute clicks and bookings to us, a Travelpayouts script loads on our website – but only after you have consented to the “Marketing” category in the cookie banner. The links still work without consent. More details in our privacy policy and in the cookie banner.

Our recommendations

We only recommend what we would use ourselves. A commission has no influence on whether or how we review something. We receive no money for the entries in our restaurant guide and shopping guide.

Our own villas

This website belongs to Coral Bay Holiday Villas. When we mention Villa Asteria or Villa Halia, that is advertising for our own business.
